Dom Martin is a Belfast born singer/songwriter, inspired but not constrained by the Blues.
He has just been voted Best Acoustic/Solo Artist at the 2019 European Blues Awards.
In the past 18 months Dom has burst onto the music scene with a unique guitar style and voice captivating the audience at every venue.
His main influences are Rory Gallagher, Tom Waits, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters and Lead Belly.
With three BBC Radio live sessions prior to a first album, Dom impressed with his debut original EP “Easy Way Out” with BBC presenter Cerys Matthews describing his work as “absolutely wonderful stuff.” His debut album “Spain to Italy” is physically released on 18th October 2019 and digitally on 4th December.
Having completed his debut sell out “Spring ’19 UK Tour”, Blues in Britain Magazine says:
"Now and again you stumble across a rare talent of such sheer genius that you actually wonder whether what you have witnessed can possibly be for real. Dom Martin is one such talent."
Dom recently completed a successful 5-date tour in Moscow. He continues this year performing at major festivals in Ireland, the UK and Switzerland.
With a UK tour in October/November 2019 to promote his debut album and European and USA promotional tours in 2020.
This talented but unassuming young musician is another fine product of the famous Belfast music factory responsible for Sir Van Morrison, Gary Moore, Paul Brady, Brian Kennedy, Snow Patrol and Foy Vance. B
